A journey in stages sets off from Coriano, featuring quizzes, clues and back roads: it’s not the fastest rider who wins, but the one who observes the most
Piazza Don Minzoni in Coriano becomes the official base for the Romagna Challenge, the Romagna-style evolution of the Italian Challenge, dedicated to those who travel by motorbike at a leisurely pace. It’s not a race and it’s not a rally: it’s a multi-stage route that takes participants through the hills, villages and back roads of the hinterland – those that lie off the beaten tourist track. Open to all types of motorbikes and all levels of experience: you don’t need to be fast, you just need a desire to travel.
Friday 11 September — Official meet-up
Participant registration
Handing out of goody bags and the Travel Quiz Book
Weekend briefing
Saturday 12 September — Discovering the roads off the beaten track
Departure at 8.30 am from Coriano, Piazza Don Minzoni
A day of exploration along back roads, through villages and over the hills
Quizzes, clues and photo challenges from the Travel Quiz Book along the route, with no time limits
Return at your leisure in the afternoon and a convivial dinner in Coriano
Sunday 13 September — Another side of Romagna to discover
Departure at 8.30 am from Coriano, Piazza Don Minzoni
New itinerary, new quizzes, new places
Return in the afternoon, lunch together and final prize-giving
The rankings do not reward speed: only the scores from the Travel Quiz Book and the challenges along the route count. Those who have observed the most often win.
The participation fee is 160 euros and includes lunches, dinner, a welcome gift, the Travel Quiz Book and support throughout the route.
