San Leo prepares for the passage of the Tour de France.

The stage takes place on June 29, 2024, with a departure from Florence and a 205-kilometer route through the Apennines, will touch on San Leo, the Marecchia Valley territory and San Marino, before reaching the finish line on the Rimini coast.

In the ten days preceding the Florence-Rimini stage, the Fortress of San Leo will be the subject of scenic lighting themed to the Tour de France, creating plays of light and shapes that represent a true work of art.
A video mapping dedicated to the Tour del France will also be created on the wall of the keep of the Fortress overlooking the second Piazza d'Armi, with images of the different editions of the Tour, the Italian cyclists who participated in it, the athletes who won it, alternating with images of San Leo and the territory of the Lands of Malatesta and Montefeltro.

On June 28, the day before the start, a Gala event will be held in the Fortress with the participation of Francesco Moser and Justine Mattera, who will be San Leo's testimonials for the Tour de France.

Invited to the event will be sportsmen (particularly from the world of cycling), journalists, and experts in the bike industry who will discuss with Francesco Moser the theme of cycling and the many opportunities for development in both the sports and tourism spheres.
