Footsteps and words of wine: one year after the great success of the first edition, an original event for lovers of convivial occasions, wine enthusiasts and hikes to discover the area, the first event of the Savio Trail 2025, returns.

A masterclass by Francesco Falcone organised by AIS Romagna will be held on Saturday 12 April.

Sunday 13 April will be a full day of initiatives, with trekking and visits to wineries along the route highlighted by the map created by hoc, e-bike tours, wine tastings accompanied by samples of typical products, and guided tours.


MASTERCLASS
On Saturday 12 April at 5.30 p.m., in the prestigious setting of Palazzo Dolcini, the Masterclass Leggerezza, levità, leggiadria. The subtle boundary beyond matter, curated by Francesco Falcone, organised by AIS - Italian Sommelier Association.
Participation in the Masterclass, lasting approximately two hours, is limited to a maximum of 40 people, with compulsory booking at: bit.ly/masterclasspassieparoledivino.
The cost is € 45.00 per person, € 40.00 for AIS members.

A SPRING SUNDAY IN THE VINEYARDS AND CELLARS
On 13 April, it will be possible to enjoy a Spring Sunday among vineyards and cellars, discovering the wines of the Savio Valley, going directly on foot or by bicycle to the six prestigious Mercatese wine cellars, indicated on the paper map distributed at the Welcome Point in via Enrico Fermi.

Starting in the morning, the Welcome Point, located in the car park of the Middle School in Via E. Fermi, will be active. Here, wine glasses with special pockets, tasting tickets and a paper map showing the route to the wineries will be on sale and distributed. Tickets for the tastings in the winery can be pre-purchased online at bit.ly/ticketpassieparoledivino and collected, or purchased directly, at the Welcome Point. It is also possible to buy the glass or the tasting tickets alone at each winery.

The producers will be on hand to tell the fascinating stories that led to the vinification of the excellence of this generous land. And it will be a unique experience to smell the aromas and flavours, admiring the colours of the vineyard and the land. A pleasure that involves all the senses: the emotion of tasting an entire territory in a goblet

CELLAR EVENTS
At each wine cellar, in addition to the wines, there will be kiosks and foodtruck offers for tasting food and typical specialities.
A programme of activities, exhibitions and events is also planned:
- Tenuta Casali has created a guided tour with exhibition panels at the salient and most explanatory points of the winery where the special features of the territory and daily work are narrated.
- Podere Monte Paderno will emphasise handmade products and creativity, with games for children and a reuse exhibition.
- Cantina Braschi will host an art exhibition from the private collection of gallery owner Andrea Braschi, the founder's son, with works by artists such as Giorgio De Chirico, Marino Marini, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Joan Mirò and Keith Haring. It will also be possible to visit the 9th-century parish church of Saints Cosmas and Damian, located opposite the winery.
- At Castello Monte Sasso, concert by the musical group Il Fosso.

CELLAR TREK
On the occasion of the event, on Sunday 13 April, it will be possible to participate in two walking tours, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, accompanied by a guide, along two different circular routes through the hills carpeted with fields and among the vines of the local wineries, which will have their wines tasted.
The cost is € 25.00 per person, including a wine glass, a glass holder pocket, and 5 tasting tickets to be consumed as you choose. For persons under 18 years of age, the cost is € 10.00 (the fee does not include kit and ticket).

E-BIKE TOUR
On Sunday 13, it will also be possible to explore the area and the wine cellars of Mercato Saraceno by e-bike, accompanied by a bike guide and with wine tastings, in two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with two different routes suitable for everyone, each 20 kilometres long and lasting about three hours.
The participation fee per person with own e-bike is € 35.00, with e-bike rental € 50.00.
The fee also includes a wine glass, a glass pocket and the three tastings in the wine cellars, which are reserved for those taking part in the e-bike tour.
- In the morning, the tour stops at Monte Sasso, Podere Vertaglia and Tenuta Santa Lucia. Departure at 10.30 a.m.
- In the afternoon, Cantina Braschi, Podere Monte Paderno and Tenuta Casali. Departure at 3.30pm.

GUIDED TOUR OF MONTE SORBO
Mercato Saraceno is also famous for its evocative parish churches. Among these, in particular, the ancient parish church of Santa Maria Annunziata in Monte Sorbo, a historic destination for pilgrims and wayfarers, will be the protagonist of a guided tour, at 10.00 am, lasting about an hour, with a participation fee of €10.00, to be paid by booking directly online.


SHUTTLE BUS FROM CESENA
On Sunday 13 April, a shuttle bus service will be available from Cesena railway station to reach Mercato Saraceno.


PARKING
We recommend leaving your car in the car parks in Via E. Fermi and Via Einaudi.
Some shuttles will be available to reach the wineries further away.
