Be enchanted by the magic of shooting stars at Rocca del Sasso! A special evening dedicated to the Perseids, often called "tears of San Lorenzo", one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year. In collaboration with the Rubicon Astronomers Association and the Verucchio Cultural Association Rilego e Rileggo.

During the evening you can also enjoy a delicious picnic on the esplanade prepared by La Madia.

PROGRAMME OF THE EVENING

Picnic basket with:
- Malatesta's rustico* of your choice**, local cheeses, Messer Michele's compote, apple pie. or vegetarian version with rustico with courgette and radicchio hummus accompanied by a selection of cheeses and jam.

- Chickpea hummus, selection of local cured meats, Alpine butter tart.

(*The rustico is a kind of pizza alla pala so a high focaccia made with the two ancient Verucchio grains and has a 48-hour rising time)
(**for carnivores the filling is porchetta mashed potatoes and tzatziki which is yoghurt and fennel)

Talk by Carlo Canelli for Rilego e Rileggo, who will discuss the myths and legends associated with shooting stars.

Scientific study of shooting stars and guided observation of the sky by the Associazione Astronomi del Rubicone (Rubicon Astronomers' Association)
