Talamello opens its doors to the 26th edition of the Marecchia Valley Chestnut Fair.

This is the festival dedicated to the Marecchia Valley 'marrone', a niche product that has been characterised by a rather limited production in recent years. In the Marecchia Valley, the presence of centuries-old chestnut groves attests to its cultivation since the Middle Ages, thanks to the presence of monastic orders in the Middle Ages.

To the delight of many palates, it will be possible to taste the 'ballotte' (boiled in water) and 'caldarroste' (roasted chestnuts cooked using a pan with holes in it over embers), as well as cakes and focaccias, first and second courses in which they are basic ingredients. It will also be possible to collect and purchase Talamello chestnuts directly from the producers in the Marecchia Valley.

There will be food stands, craft and hobby markets, and entertainment with shows and itinerant music that will delight adults and children alike.
