EVENT LINK
The Museo della Regina, the Culture Department and the Cultural Services of the Municipality of Cattolica invite the local community and tourists on a journey through the history of the city starting from its foundation in 1271.

The appointment with history is back again this year, to discover Cattolica, its village and its origins.
Cattolica, enclosed within a few kilometres, has a long tradition and deep roots.

For this reason, the Museo della Regina is once again organising weekly events this summer, on Wednesday and Friday evenings, to take tourists and non-tourists alike on a surprising journey to discover the history and archaeology of the city and its seafaring traditions.

Qualified professional tourist guides will accompany participants to discover the historical centre, along the main points of interest of the ancient medieval and Renaissance town, identifying the historical, monumental and artistic heritage of the city:
the Museo della Regina, an ancient hospice for pilgrims and the S. Croce Oratory, the Church of S. Apollinare, the Rocca Malatestiana and the taverns and inns that sprung up along the Flaminian Way.
The excursus through the history of Cattolica will end in Via Cattaneo, along the ancient loggia, where it will be possible to visit the Paparoni Underground Gallery, the most interesting and complex architecture of the underground heritage of Cattolica.
