EVENT LINK
From 10 to 14 December 2025, I Luoghi dell'Anima - Italian Film Festival returns, interweaving cinema, landscape and poetry in the places dear to Tonino Guerra: Santarcangelo di Romagna, Pennabilli and Rimini.
A festival that stems from the desire to tell the world through the gaze of the soul, that unique and necessary way of observing reality that Tonino Guerra taught us: poetic, concrete, rooted in the beauty of places and the memory of people.
Each edition of the festival is a journey through real and interior landscapes, inviting us to look at places not only for what they show but for what they hold.

The new edition of the Festival will be inaugurated on 9 December with a special pre-opening event, an appointment that will open five days of meetings, screenings and reflections dedicated to cinema as a living form of knowledge, capable of restoring depth and meaning to the relationship between man and landscape.
Under the artistic direction of Steve Della Casa and Paola Poli, founded by Andrea Guerra, President and the Board of the Tonino Guerra Study Centre Museum, the festival will be divided into a pathway embracing competitions, retrospectives and non-competitive sections, designed to restore the variety and richness of contemporary film language. The First and Second Works Competition is dedicated to emerging directors, narrators of places, people and the most authentic souls of landscapes, while the Short Films Competition features new Italian and international works, with a special focus on female directors and authors under 35. Alongside these competitive sections, the Emilia-Romagna Review enhances the cinematographic and audiovisual productions made in the region, giving space to local experiences and talents. To complete the programme, retrospectives, special screenings and book presentations accompany the meetings with the guests present, creating a dialogue between the works of the past and the new visions of the present.

The selection of films privileges works that address issues related to environmental protection, sustainability, historical memory and the transformation of landscapes, with a special focus on young voices and new forms of cinematic storytelling.

The festival is one of the events of Rimini, the world's longest New Year's Eve
