The Nativity is in a musical! From 8 December to 6 January 2026, repeated every half hour and with free admission, the Leo Amici Theatre will host on weekends and holidays the projection on the big screen of "Un vagito nella notte", the short version when Francis conceived the first living nativity scene, a musical written and directed by Carlo Tedeschi, which is once again the protagonist of the most eagerly awaited feast of the year and confirms itself as a traditional event that attracts and involves thousands of people throughout the Bel Paese.
In Rimini it will be at the Leo Amici Theatre and completes the Christmas events on offer at Lake Monte Colombo
The director and author of the Musical Christmas Night 1223 tells us how St. Francis, on Christmas night in 1223 in Greccio, together with his friend John, gave life to the first living nativity scene, thus establishing the tradition. In the second half of the musical, Francis will relive the night of that Christmas while the angel, God's messenger, speaks to the hearts of men, bringing about a conversion of life. The Musical has become an eagerly awaited Christmas appointment with its special effects that lead the spectator to immerse himself and let himself be carried away by the magic of that night in 1223. The show is a way to relive the spirit and deep meaning of Christmas through the eyes and spirituality of St Francis.
