VERDI OFF COMES TO BUSSETO WITH THE “VERDIAN CUCKOO”
From Sunday 20 September, the heart of Busseto once again fills with the music of Giuseppe Verdi.
At 12:00 on the Town Hall balcony, the “Verdian Cuckoo” comes to life — one of the events of Verdi Off 2026: short musical interludes that will bring some of the most celebrated pages of Verdi’s works right into the centre of the Maestro’s city.

From Un ballo in maschera to Macbeth, from La traviata to Ernani, Il corsaro and Il trovatore: every Sunday a new encounter with the voices and emotions of Verdi’s universe.
The initiative is organised by the Accademia Verdiana of the Teatro Regio di Parma, with musical coordination by Francesco Izzo.
