The Verucchio Music Festival opens on Sunday 19 July, now in its 42nd year, with a major new feature: all concerts and performances will be free of charge.

On Thursday 23 July, in Piazza Battaglini from 9.00 pm, Giovanni Truppi will perform ‘La Lunga Fiaba di Sabbia’, a new special project that weaves together music, literature and travel, bringing into dialogue two key figures of the 20th century: Pier Paolo Pasolini and Italo Calvino. Shortly before him, Simone Matteuzzi will take to the stage; a young singer-songwriter from Milan, born in 2001, who is making a name for himself on the Italian music scene thanks to the insight and sensitivity of his songwriting, always accompanied by a healthy dose of restless, teeming irony.
