OUT AND ABOUT: on 20 August, as part of ‘Borgo Sonoro’ in Mercato Saraceno, there will be a wine tasting and a tribute concert to Ornella Vanoni.



The experience winds its way through the vineyards and cellars of Mercato Saraceno, recognised as a “City of Wine” since 2022. A well-ordered and vibrant landscape, where human hands and nature have been in dialogue for centuries, shaping a winemaking tradition of great value.


Amidst the rows of vines, you’ll discover the territory’s most authentic expressions: the intense character of Sangiovese DOC, the freshness of Trebbiano and the elegant structure of Cabernet Sauvignon DOC, right through to Famoso DOC, a native grape variety that has been revived and proudly preserved as a testament to the valley’s identity.

The tour begins, therefore, in a winery, where the aromas of the wine and tales of the local winemaking tradition culminate in a tasting of the region’s finest wines.


Once the tasting at the winery is over, we move on to Montecastello for a concert by the Rossella Cappadone Quartet, a tribute to the great Ornella Vanoni, entitled ‘Un filo di trucco, un filo di tacco’: a refined and moving show paying tribute to one of the most iconic and timeless voices in Italian music. The concert begins at 9.15 pm, in collaboration with the Borgo Sonoro festival.
