On Sunday 28 December, at the Palazzo dei Congressi, the Sala Concordia will host at 9 p.m. the show "Figli di Troia" (Sons of Troy), written and performed by Paolo Cevoli, for a brilliant and fun-filled evening.
In this new monologue, Cevoli recounts the mythical journey of Aeneas in an ironic and contemporary key, comparing it to other journeys that have marked the history of humanity: from Christopher Columbus to his father Luciano who emigrated to Australia. At the centre of the tale is the defeated hero fleeing from Troy with his gods, his father on his shoulders and his son by the hand - his roots and hope for the future. With his unmistakable Romagnola irony, Cevoli rediscovers the values and roots of the Italian people, suggesting that, just as Virgil wanted, "rather than being children of nobody, it is better to be children of Troy". Admission to the show is free while places last.
