Three days dedicated to the great Russian director Aleksandr Sokurov, including meetings, masterclasses and screenings, in Tonino Guerra's iconic locations.

The Tonino Guerra 2025 Award, presided over by Laura Delli Colli and instituted by Andrea Guerra, President of the Tonino Guerra Study Centre Museum, will be awarded to Aleksandr Sokurov, one of the most profound and innovative authors of contemporary cinema.
Over the years, the Award has celebrated great protagonists of international culture such as Werner Herzog, Marco Tullio Giordana and Carmen Yáñez.

The programme will open on 15 November at the C'entro Supercinema in Santarcangelo di Romagna with the inauguration of the retrospective dedicated to Sokurov.
The day will be introduced by Laura Delli Colli, in a meeting open to the public on the artistic dialogues between Sokurov and Guerra and the theme of memory in contemporary cinema.
At the end, the director will receive the Tonino Guerra Award: a gold heraldic ring bearing the imprint of the previous winner, Chilean poet Carmen Yáñez, a symbol of continuity and artistic dialogue between the award-winners.

During the three days, the retrospective will feature some of Sokurov's most representative films:
- Moscow Elegy (1987) - dedicated to Andrei Tarkovsky, with scenes from Travel Time, written with Tonino Guerra.
- Maria, Peasant Elegy (1988) - poetic portrait of Soviet rural life.
- Russian Ark (2002) - a single 90-minute film sequence set at the Hermitage, recounting three centuries of Russian history.

The director will also visit the "In the World of Tonino Guerra" Museum in Santarcangelo, the Tonino Guerra House Museum in Pennabilli and the Fellini Museum in Rimini, in an ideal itinerary through the Maestro's "places of the soul".

The event anticipates the sixth edition of "I Luoghi dell'Anima - Italian Film Festival", which will be held in the same locations from 10 to 14 December 2025, with a special pre-opening event on 9 December.
