"Castello in festa - Taglia 40" will be held from 8 to 10 August at the Castello degli Agolanti, with shows, workshops, artistic performances and wellness activities, all with free admission.
Opening the rich programme of events at the Agolanti will be, on Thursday 7 August at 9.30 p.m. in the Meridiana of the Castle, the overture with the show "Puro Tomate" by the Argentine clown Tomate, an event included in the widespread festival of figure theatre and animation "Pane Burro e Burattini".
Friday 8 August at 6.30 p.m. will begin with a balloon workshop for the creation of a sculpture in the shape of a giant octopus, followed by the animation of Tomate Clown, an Argentinean artist much loved by the public. At the same time, the giant soap bubble workshop will also come to life, followed by the teacher Abrascia, also from Argentina.
Also in the late afternoon, the association Benessere Shiatsu Le Saline di Coriano will offer moments of relaxation and massages to relax on the castle lawn and discover the benefits of ancient oriental disciplines.
At 9.30 p.m., "Alì Babà e i 40 ladroni" (Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves), a production by the Fratelli di Taglia company, will be staged, with musical and sound suggestions featuring two clowns: Pink and Lisa. An actor's and figure theatre show, suitable for everyone from 3 years of age.
On Saturday 9 August, starting at 6.30 p.m., the balloon workshop to complete the Giant Octopus sculpture with Tomate Clown returns, flanked once again by the oriental wellness activities organised by the Le Saline association.
At 8.30 pm, the "Grand Parade" will start, with the Giant Octopus parading accompanied by the Cart of Wonders of the Bubble on Circus company and the Cuore 21 Rulli Marching band. The parade will leave from Riccione Alba to reach Piazzale Ceccarini, where a spectacular storm of bubbles will welcome the public.
At 9.30 pm the Fratelli di Taglia company will bring to the stage "Il viaggio di Tartaruga Tranquilla Piepesante", a sweet and funny story with puppets and actors, suitable for children aged 3 and up. The protagonist, a tenacious turtle, will face a long journey to attend the wedding of the Lion King, proving that he who goes slow really goes far.
Sunday 10 August opens at 6.30 p.m. with moments dedicated to wellness and awareness, including shiatsu massage and yoga, followed by a creative workshop organised by the Il Tassello mancante association. At 7.30 p.m., space will be given to "Mindfulness and anti-stress meditation" with Tabitha Piersantini, a physiotherapist and specialist teacher.
At 8.30 p.m. the public will be transported into the magical world of Bubble on Circus with the Cart of Wonders, a poetic journey made of giant bubbles, magic and poetry, designed to amaze adults and children alike.
Following this, at 9.30 p.m., the Fratelli di Taglia company will present the book "Taglia 40" with "Filastrocche d'aMare" and animated readings, accompanied by the live music of the Beati precari duo and the impromptu illustrations of artist Massimo Modula.
Closing the evening, at 10.30 p.m., is the show "Ritual de fuego" by the Mexican group Quetzalcoatl: a tribal ritual with dances, fire and percussion, inspired by Aztec culture, to evoke primordial energy and the beat of the earth.
All events and performances are free admission. For information and reservations, please call 329 9461660. During the three evenings, there will be a refreshment point inside the Castello degli Agolanti, organised by the Cantinetta della Corte.
